Projects and Plans for 2019

Hello, everyone!

Since my final semester as an undergrad is drawing to a close, I thought it’d be a good time to update you guys as to everything that is happening next in terms of my projects!

I’ve decided to take a year or so off until I pursue my Master’s/PhD, not only for financial and mental health reasons, but also to give myself an opportunity to focus on my writing for a while. With that being said, 2019 is going to be an interesting year, because I’m trying something different.

I’ve mentioned this on Wattpad, but I will no longer be posting longer works online after the completion of Of Puzzles And Pandemonium. The fourth book in the Rose Coven Chronicles might be an exception to this, it will all depend on whether I manage to get a publisher on-board with that series.

Basically, I’ll still be attempting to post short works on occasion both on Wattpad and Tapas, but for the most part, I’m going to be focusing on works for publishing only. Works that I hope to send off for publication this year include (but aren’t limited to): Stardust and Steel (Tapas only), Intimately Inked, Of Puzzles And Pandemonium, The Poison Kiss (renamed Lips to Lips), Operation: Blackout, and Rinse (with heavy modifications).

Already slated for publication in 2019 from Less Than Three Press are my short stories Stolen By Black and The Curious Case of Cat and Cupid. Currently, I am in the midst of completing the first round of edits for Stolen by Black and they’re due back Friday. I’m hoping to send those in ahead of schedule though. I have yet to see the edits for Cat and Cupid, but I’m sure they’re coming soon.

Currently, I have no short stories planned for Wattpad/Tapas. However, I am going to finish uploading Of Puzzles And Pandemonium, but the rest of the books in that series will not go up online and the first book will be taken down prior to the manuscript being sent to publishers. I’m sure things will come up throughout the year (all of which I’ll keep you guys up to date on), and as always, I am open to one-shot/short story requests, ideas, etc.

Throughout the year, I’ll be keeping you guys updated on my projects here, Facebook, Wattpad, and Tapas. I appreciate the support I have received since I first joined Wattpad in 2011. I have learned so much from that community, and it has taken me years of cultivating my craft to feel confident in submitting work for publication. For that, I will be forever grateful to my Wattpad readers <3

I have no intention of quitting Wattpad or Tapas just yet, but I will be cutting back my posting there. It isn’t fair to you guys for me to keep posting stories only to take them down months later for publishing. It’s confusing, and I want everyone to have the best iteration of the story, not some first draft that I’ve sleepily slapped together. You guys deserve better, and I hope that 2019 will be the year that I finally start getting more books out there and in your hands!

Thank you again for the love and support over the years! You guys are amazing, and I hope you have happy holidays! See you again in the new year (and around Christmas when I start posting Of Puzzles And Pandemonium again) <3
